About

Stephanie was born and raised in the desert community of Palm Springs, California. Her mother was a painter in watercolor. “As a child, I found it magical to see the pigments flowing in pools of water and watching them come to life, taking on the shapes of hills, buildings, trees and the human form.” Her parents introduced her early on to the great artists through books and museums, as much a thrill to her then as now. And so, throughout her schooling art became her major focus. She began selling her paintings while still a Fine Arts major at the University of California at Berkeley.

Stephanie works in many mediums, exploring her subject matter in varied ways. Watercolor, acrylic and oil paint, graphite, charcoal and pastel, all of these serve to express varying aspects of the beauty she strives to reflect in her art.

Her travels through the United States, Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica and Hong Kong, have been the inspiration for many paintings. She is always on the lookout for that convergence of circumstance, composition, light and shadow that creates a perfect moment.

Much of her work has been commissioned specifically for restaurants, hotels and office buildings, as well as private collections. Her work has also been seen in magazines, interior design publications and print ads, and is in the collections of an international clientele, including such celebrities as Al Roker, Pierce Brosnan, and Clint Eastwood.

Stephanie’s home and studio are in the San Francisco Bay area. When not in her studio, she can be found pursuing her other passions, reading, gardening and traveling,  always with her sketchbook and camera.
